A leading fertility clinic, the Bridge Clinic, has called on couples having fertility challenges to seek early medical attention from reputable clinics to boost their chances of having children. They made this call during their Welcome Forum held last week, organised for couples battling infertility.

Dr. Bamidele Babatunde, a fertility physician with the clinic, informed attendees that fertility challenges, like other health issues, require timely attention to achieve a desirable outcome. In his presentation: “When do I seek fertility treatment?” Babatunde defined infertility as “the inability of a couple to conceive a child after 12 months of regular sexual intercourse, without contraception.” He opined that the appropriate time to seek fertility treatment depends on the age of the couple.

“Couples aged less than 30 years could wait for a year but those above 36 years should seek help earlier.”

In his remarks, the general manager of the clinic, Dr. Ekundayo Omogbehin, informed fertility-challenged couples to take advantage of its new plan, FertilitySure, broken into four main bouquets, namely FertilitySureLite, FertilitySure Life, FertilitySure Plus and FertilitySure Comprehensive, to ascertain their fertility status in order to commence necessary treatments.

The high point of the forum was a tour of the clinic by the attendee’s and free consultation with doctors.
