Falae urges Buhari to implement Confab report

Chief Olu Falae, National Chairman, Social Democratic Party (SDP), on Thursday urged the President-elect, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, to implement the 2014 National Conference report on assumption of office.

Chief Olu Falae, National Chairman, Social Democratic Party (SDP), on Thursday urged the President-elect, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, to implement the 2014 National Conference report on assumption of office.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had on Wednesday declared Buhari, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate, the winner of March 28 Presidential election.

Falae, a former Secretary to the Federal Government, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that the implementation of the report would help to revamp and re-launch the country.

“I want to advise Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari that he should see government as a continuum.

“I urge him that as soon as he is inaugurated and settle down to initiate action on the implementation of the report of the 2014 National Conference.

“The implementation of that report in my humble opinion is the blueprint for restructuring Nigeria, revamping Nigeria and re-launching Nigeria into a new orbit,” he said.

Falae, who congratulated the President-elect for the victory, said his election would send signal that rampant corruption would no longer be tolerated.

“It send a signal that the rampant corruption will no longer be tolerated and that public officers must disengage from corruption and take their career seriously with leadership by example.”

He also commended INEC for the conduct of the election and urged the commission to avoid hitches such as late arrival of materials and staff, absence of result sheets and the failure of the Smart Card Reader machines.

“I feel proud as a Nigerian that the outcome of the election, for the first time in Nigeria possibly in Africa, power changed hands peacefully from one political party to another through the ballot box,” Falae said.

The former Secretary to the Federal Government described President Goodluck Jonathan as a “statesman” for conceding defeat even before the final announcement of the result.

Confab Ko confab ni. The confab report is destined for the bin. Nigeria don’t need any distraction now. Confab is politically arranged by GEJ for his re-election. GMB was elected based on his party manifesto and I’m glad confab report wasn’t among.

Thank u sir Falae. The new nature of opposition politics in Nigeria will qckly become the fulanis who are desperate to protect d status quo, vs. those crying to restructure d country.

So you want Falae to rule by proxy. That is not how government is designed. Each political party develops its own platform – its manifesto. The PDP p[resented its wonderful manifesto to Falae and his companions and they supported PDP and its restructuring. Falae did not want the APC and he said so, reason he gave was that PDP was the party to restructure. But PDP, hiis preferred part lost the election and APC won. Now those of you who want the restructuring call others enemies of what? Falae has his own political part, SDP. What is SDP’s manifesto and what was its performance in the elction. That is the problem with these old people in Yoruba land: thy often take the culture of respect for elders as a liberty to do what they want, assume unquestionable leadership, and the aura and audacity to speak for and on behalf oof the community. That of course is acceptable up to the point where the community believs and admits that their interest is protected. Now the elders have demonstrated stupiditi, selfishness, and unbriddled arrogance. We call them to order. Buhari should avopid these destrative elements who said crucity him yesterdy and now have developed a new deceptive chorus in anticipation of possible crumbs from Abuja.

The confab is the making of all segment of the Nigerian society that was conceived to address and correct the inherent injustice and imbalance in the system, and that will restructure Nigeria, to make it peaceful, more united, manageable and more mobile. It is at the very foundation of the new Nigeria, that the people yearns for, and the main reason to make the confab as the cardinal policy and major priority of GBM administration. What Nigerians voted for is institutional change and not personality change because personalities comes and goes but institinstitutions endures forever. We need institutional legacy, and not personality charm and rethortrics.

Falae can only appeal and wish. Buhari never promised to implement any report. You pitched your tent with Jonathan because you did not believe Buhari would implement the report. So why are you asking him to implement it now? Please leave our president alone to concentrate on his party’s manifesto because it was on that basis that Nigerians voted for him.

We never saw a manifesto, Buhari will be President of the nation not APC, wake up from your primitive naive mindset, everybody will not vote for Buhari, that is why it is called democracy , we want the restructure of Nigeria in a peaceful and systematic manner to avoid war of disintegration.

Really, you have never seen the APC manifesto? So on what basis did you indulge in your hate campaign against a man and his party you knew nothing about? Part of the reason government fails is because of the haphazard, unplanned implementation of policies. Falae who should know better by virtue of being a former presidential candidate is even worse than you. Now he says implement this, another will say implement that. Is that how to run a government? No wonder GEJ failed! Buhari and APC set out their agenda clearly from the outset. The job of the president is to implement programs based on the priorities set out in the party directives. Whatever was the PDP agenda is not binding on the new APC government. By the way, its an open secret that APC never supported the NC. So can you see how full of sh**t you are?

I thought that thing has been thrown into the dustbin, maybe we should retrieve it, shred it and burn it. what do you mean implement confab report, which confab, how many of the member were elected to represent us, well i never remember sending anybody to any conference to represent me, the reason law makers are elected is to make laws, if we need a change to the constitution then follow a constitutional way by pressuring your elected representatives.
I have never seen anywhere in the world where the looser is setting performance agenda for the winner, please tuck your tailin between your legs and prepare how you will be a viable opposition, by and large the nation still needs aviable opposition in place for checks and balance

You can shred your future, as usual, we know those who feed fat on exploiting others, but Buhari will have no choice but to implement the. Confab report, he should know the implication of not correcting the inequality and injustice that Hausa and Yoruba created to cheat others of their resources. This is just an election, it stops nothing. If he is wise, he will do what Save Nigeria

There was never a hate campaign against Buhari, what were stated about him were facts, he even refused to debate but in Nigeria, people vote based on your name, tribe or religion, so Buhari won based on these sentiments, he never said anything except that he wants to rule. Nigeria.

Do you mind the idiot who has no identity of his own but just picked up a Cable-TV station name overnight. There is no need discussing with a fool. People will not know the difference. Now that the man called Buhari has won, then let him do whatever he needs to do. As for Falae, he is drowning with his choice of relationship. Monitor all his posts. They are all Yoruba-Hausa’s fault. never that of Ibo, Ibibio, Kanuri, Nupe, Igala, Tiv or any other ethnic group. You already know where he comes from, a group of arrogant ethnocentric abominable self-consumed haters who never see anything good in others. They voted like we did; they chose like we chose: as groups and as individuals. But since we refused to agree with these pigs, their head has turned into garbage dumps and they cannot think straight. Where is the quarrel? You want the man to implement a program that Jonathan handpicked people to put together. We told him when he alone picked about 65 per cent of members of the conference; Jonathan, of all people in Nigeria. he has no wisdom, this same group of people deceived him into believing that he was the best performer – the doyen of Nigeria’s political history. Where is the lighthouse in his performance. The man is docile and corrupt to the marrow in his bones; drunken and wearing a forgetful look on his face. I stop here. This idiot who call himself AriseNigeria has tickled me into this.

If you never saw the manifesto then you must be one of those helpless and hopeless idiots who just get on this forum to spit out garbage. The manifesto was published over and over again; Buhari gave interviews in Nigeria, on radio, on TV, and even in far away United Kingdom. All this while, you and your internet w arriors concentyrated on a Certificate which somebody arranged to pull out of his military record file rather than campaign positively. Now Buhari will rule over the country implementing the contract he signed with the voters and not the one rejected by the people. By the way, do you know hoew government is run? Why did Jonathan keep the contract of the restructuring in his cabinet since August 2014, seven moths since he had it? We do not want to start another confusion. We want government. You could say what you want, afterall, we already know your agenda.

An animalasshole like you didn’t know Apc never had a manifesto, but only won on rethortrics, propaganda, religious and tribal sentiment. However, a fool like you must understand that without Buhari, there is nothing like APC winning presidential election, so our discussion will be entirely with GBM and not APC
