
A firm, Shell Nigeria Gas Limited has trained and empowered 150 youths on enterprise development and skills acquisition in Ogun State.
Its Managing Director, Mr Ralph Gbobo, disclosed this during the graduation ceremony of 150 youths trained in skills acquisition from host communities in Ogun.
The beneficiaries completed the five-day enterprise development training programme (EDP) organised by the company for its host communities.
The graduates were empowered with start-up capital, welding machines, sewing machines, bakery ovens, hair-dressing machines, and catering equipment, among others.
Gbobo represented by the Assets Manager, West Division, the Enterprise Development Programme, Mr Simeon Eze, advised the beneficiaries to sharpen their business acumen, build successful businesses, provide employment and increase income levels in the society.
In his contribution, the Olota of Ota, Oba Prof. Abdul Kabir Adeyemi Obalanlege, urged the beneficiary entrepreneurs to be more steadfast and determined to succeed in their various businesses irrespective of the challenges. “
