A firm, Afrornaments, has organised an art show at lkeja, Lagos to tell African stories, change the negative narratives and empower underprivileged Nigerians.

Speaking at the event the Chief Executive Officer of the firm, Ifeanyichukwu Oraemeka, said the goal of the event was to tell African stories correctly, change the negative narratives and restore moral values.

Themed “TALES Explores and Presents the Ingenuity of African crafts,” Oraemeka said: “We promote symbols and signs, which most people feel sometimes are fetish or diabolic. We try to educate and correct these misconceptions.

“We need more art exhibitions to tell our stories better and all by ourselves, not allowing others to talk for us because we are the ones passing through our challenges.

We are masters in turning uncommon pieces to masterpieces. We use social media to showcase our products, new clients and educate people globally about African crafts, food fashion, culture, among others.”
