In an effort to ease the stress of parent seeking suitable school for their wards, an Information Communications Technology (ICT) firm, Mytcodes, has officially unveiled an application that would enable them get information about primary and secondary schools with ease.

Speaking at the unveiling of the application named “Schools Compass,” Managing Director, Mytcodes, Oluwayomi Ojo, said that the platform was established to assist parents searching for schools for their wards, adding that the website and application (which has information about over 250 schools from across the country), would help parents seeking information about the schools.

Ojo, who said visiting the site was also an opportunity for job seekers to get jobs as schools also advertise there, encouraged more schools to register for free on the portal, while using that opportunity to provide information on their facilities, which he said would be of benefit to parents in the Diaspora, or those changing residence/cities.

Ojo urged the government to give more support to Information and Communications Technology (ICT), in order to develop home-grown ICT products that would promote the image of the nation globally, and also create jobs for the teeming youths

Since making its debut in May 2014, School Compass, has built a database of about 50,000 parents and now records about 1,000 active users daily.
