Kwara airlifts 560 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia

The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board (KMPWB) yesterday airlifted its first batch of 560 pilgrims to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for this year’s Hajj exercise.

The Executive Secretary of the board, Alhaji Abdulkadir Abdulsalam, told newsmen in Ilorin that the pilgrims boarded Max Airline at 12:40 pm.

According to the board’s scribe, 2,174 pilgrims from the state are scheduled to be airlifted via four flights.

The Chairman of the board, Prof. Mashood Jimba, and the state’s Amirul-Hajj, Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, Oba Ismail Yahaya Alebiosu, urged the pilgrims to uphold good conduct throughout their spiritual journey.
