The Lagos State Government has postponed the 2025 Public Service Examinations originally set for Tuesday, May 13, citing the need to uphold the integrity of the examination process and ensure fairness for all candidates.
In a statement released on Monday evening, the Director of the Lagos State Examinations Board, Mr. Adebayo Orunsolu, confirmed the change, noting that the examinations will now hold on Friday, May 23, 2025.
He said the decision was aimed at protecting the credibility of the process.
“The decision was taken to ensure the integrity of the examination process and guarantee a fair experience for all candidates,” Orunsolu said.
The announcement was also posted on the state government’s official X account. Orunsolu added that specific dates for certain papers would be announced soon via official channels.
He advised all candidates to stay prepared and to regularly check the Board’s portal —https://examsboard.lagosstate.gov.ng — for updates. He also urged them to retain their registration details and print their examination slips ahead of the new schedule.
“Candidates are reminded to retain their registration details and print their examination slips before the announcement of the new dates,” he said.
Orunsolu expressed appreciation for the patience and cooperation of candidates and stakeholders, assuring that the Board remains committed to conducting a credible, transparent, and efficient examination process.
