Jesus Is Light Ministries (a.k.a. Light Chapel), Agodo-Egbe, Lagos, has appointed Bayo Funso Adaramola as the new General Overseer of the church.

The new appointment took place at the church’s national headquarters in Lagos, at the weekend, during the 50th anniversary of the church.

Adaramola, who is a graduate of the University of Maiduguri, was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1986.

As a Notary Public and a Certified Management Consultant, he became a minister in Light Chapel in 1990 and was ordained a pastor in 1993. He was also the General Secretary of the ministry from 1990 to 1997 and later became the Resident Pastor of the Kano Assembly from 1997 to 2001. He also became Assistant General Overseer in charge of North Central Zone in 2005.

Until his new appointment, Adaramola was the Assistant General Overseer North and National Coordinator of the Ministry in Nigeria. He is happily married to Deaconess Ibijoke Jummai Adaramola and they are blessed with children.

The outgoing General Overseer, Emily Morenike Ola-Ojo, who is 87 years of age, made the announcement during the anniversary.

She called on the entire body of Christ both at home and abroad to support the new general overseer and other members that would work with him.
