Lord’s Chosen holds crusade to mark Easter celebrations

As Christians globally prepare to celebrate Easter and commemorate Christ’s resurrection from the grave, the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries has concluded arrangements to hold its Easter programme, titled “God’s Covenant of Peace and Blessing.”

The two-day yearly event of the church, which is held at the headquarters of the church in Ijesha, Lagos, from April 19-20, 2025, will be ministered by the General Overseer of the church, Pastor Lazarus Muoka.

In a statement made available to The Guardian by the Director, Public Relations of the church, Pastor Louis Chidi, the programme will highlight the significance of Easter, Christ’s victory over death, and the hope His death has brought to mankind.

The statement read in part: “As we celebrate Easter through this programme, we will experience the victory of Jesus Christ over death in our lives. Easter, therefore, brings that optimism that no matter how difficult or how challenging a situation may be, having knowledge of the resurrection will remind you that if Jesus could defeat death, then all things are possible.”

“It also suggests that, as bad as the prevailing situation might appear, things will get better if we repent from sin and accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour.

“God has offered us everlasting peace at no cost through the manifestation of Jesus Christ. However, the cost will be high if we reject this free offer.”

The statement added that the church would provide free buses to convey participants from different locations in Lagos.
