Mbaka urges caution on Biafra agitation
Says crisis capable of destroying S’East economy
SPIRITUAL Director of the Adoration Ministries Enugu Nigeria (AMEN), Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka, has admonished individuals and groups spearheading Biafra protests in the Southeast, stating that he would only support them when those initiating the protest come out to take the lead.
This is coming on the heels of assurances given by the Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, saying that the state government was in support of measures aimed at improving the peoples’ welfare.
Mbaka, who made this disclosure in Enugu during the launch of the new products by his company, Aqua Rapha Investments Limited, at the weekend, warned that the ongoing protests might degenerate into a full-blown crisis, capable of destroying South East’s economic prosperity.
He expressed the fear that “this Boko Haram we are witnessing now in the North started in this form.”
“If this nation collapses, it is on us all. If things go well, it is for benefit of all and sundry. Having one family or an individual oppressed affects the others. What I am begging is that things should be done in proper manner. If we continue like this, the visions of our Igbo leaders towards a better and more progressive life will go down the drain and no investor will come into a city bedevilled with crisis as ours,” he cautioned.
He reiterated his commitment to making life better for indigenes of Enugu State through the proceeds from his company.
According to the director, “the sky is our starting point if we have the state’s support. Our main targets are health, wealth and job creation,” he assured.
Also speaking at the launch, the Group Managing Director, Aqua Rapha Investments Limited, Sunday Nwankwo, said the main idea behind the introduction of the new products was to satisfy the yearnings of the company’s numerous customers.
According to him, the products, which include Rapha Soya Oil, Rapha Groundnut Oil, Rapha carbonated drinks, Rapha Apple, Rapha Lemon, Rapha Cola, Rapha Orange and Rapha Goosh are of high quality.
While lamenting the deteriorating state of health care in the country, Nwankwo noted that 80 per cent of sick persons in the country are affected by what they consume.
