MFM donates food items to 326 persons in Amuwo-Odofin council, empowers women, widows

The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Lagos  Region 12, FESTAC Mega  Axis  Headquarters, recently distributed  food items to members of Amuwo-Odofin community, including the Muslims in the neighbourhood.

No fewer than 326 members and non-members of the church received four kilogrammes of rice each. The gesture was meant to improve the well-being of the beneficiaries.

The church also empowered  28 pastors and ministers’ wives and widows with  cash gift of N250, 000 naira each, totaling  N7m.

The Mega Regional Overseer, Pastor Irabor Enojiasun, his wife, Pastor (Mrs.) Modesola Enojiasun and Chairman, Chairman MRO Empowerment Committee, Mark Tokula as well as Dr (Mrs) Funke Nwobu, an executive member of the MRO committee, saidthe cash gift would enable the beneficiaries to  pursue their passions and projects.

They said it would also foster growth and development in their ministries.  They revealed that the gesture was part of the Explosive Evangelism Initiative (EEI) of the church to capture more souls for Christ and stressed that beneficiaries of the business grant included  pastors’ wives, two widows and two female ministers.

In addition, to ensure that brilliant but indigent students have access to quality education the church gave  forty thousand naira each (40,000 ) to twelve indigent students within the church to support their educational pursuits and encourage them to excel academically.

Pesenting the gifts to beneficiaries, MFM Director of Administration,  International Headquarters,  Pst. Temitope Akin Olawale, revealed  that welfare of Members and the People is of utmost importance to MFM  worldwide.

Olawale, said the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries worldwide,  Dr Daniel Kolawole Olukoya has given a marching order to the churches accross the world to ensure that lives are touched physical through different Corporate Social Responsibility programmes apart from the Biblical teachings and Deliverance prayers the church believes in.

He said the church is continously  digging boreholes accross the country to give  the masses portable drinkable water.

Olawale,  revealed that through the Welfare Ministry of the Church,  different bills of members are being  settled, members are trained and empowered with starter packs in different skills of their choice,  while others are given tools tas well as cash gift to empower them in their business.

He maintained that  Paramount to the heart of the General Overseer is that  souls are  won for Christ  while  needs of the people are  also met  physically.

On his part, Pastor Johson Olatunbosun, Head of ‘We care’ Ministry of the church added that MFM has made significant positive impacts through through Prison and Orphange Evangelism  and  several food gifting . He added  that the church pay for relaese of inmates with bailable offences.

Speaking futher, Evangelist Sunday Akinseloyin , Assistant National  Coordinator , Evangelism Group MFM described the  Festac empowerment programme as one of the initiatives of  the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries worldwide,  Dr. Daniel Kolawole  Olukoya  66 evangelism strategy to bring more people into the kingdom of God.

He explained  that the empowerment programme is in two faces: empowerment to the community, that is  the church giving back to the people in community and empowerment of the members of MFM church through welfare Ministry.

The chairman of Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State,  Engr. (Dr.) Valentine Oluwaseyi Buraimoh who witnessed the occasion  thanked MFM Festac church for postive impact on the local government areas,  transformation in repairs of  the 7th avenue Road in Festac,  provision of  free medical outreach for the masses as well as engage in different  trainings, skills acquisition programmes (Free Bakery Initiatives) to leave people  better than  they met them irrespective of their religious affiliations and ethnic biases.

Speaking on  behalf of beneficiaries, Pst Mrs Victoria   Okwuokei and Sister Stella said their joy knew no bound with the gesture revealed that the gift will list some of the families out of depression and shame, promised to make good use of the money by engaging on profitable ventures as well as to turn it over with gains.
