NDLEA declares suspected drug baron wanted, nabs in-law
THE National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Anambra State has declared wanted for alleged illicit drug dealing a man popularly called “Uche Baron” in Onitsha Main Market, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
NDLEA Commander in the state, Sule Momodu, told newsmen in Awka yesterday that the agency last Thursday raided the suspect’s warehouse in the market and recovered cannabis weighing 109.800kg.
Momodu explained that the suspect, who hails from Ndoni in Rivers State, escaped and has been on the run since the raid. However, he disclosed that his brother-in-law, from Okwe in Onuimo local council of Imo State, who also is allegedly in the same business, has been arrested.
He appealed to the public for any information that could help in his arrest, adding that the agency has sufficient evidence to prosecute him.
