A non-governmental organisation (NGO), Women Advancement for Economic and Leadership Empowerment in Africa (WAELE/ARCELFA) has disclosed plans to empower 100 widows in Benue, Adamawa, Kebbi and Enugu states.

Founder and President, Otunba Basirat Nahibi, stated this during the organisation’s yearly executive meeting in Abuja yesterday. He said the programme is expected to start on February 17 in Benue, adding that the essence of the gesture was to alleviate the sufferings of vulnerable members of the society, to enable them survive the harsh economic conditions.
