.Declares 40 days of prayer, fasting for country
The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), yesterday, lamented the economic challenges across the federation, describing the nation as going through a period of travails.

The body has also declared 40 days of prayer and fasting to seek divine intervention in addressing the hardship in the land.

PFN President, Bishop Francis Wale Oke, made the submission at a press briefing in Abuja, noting that the fast would begin on January 6, 2025, and terminate on February 14, 2025.

He expressed faith that God would lead Nigeria from hardship into prosperity.
The announcement coincided with details of PFN’s upcoming 18th biennial conference, scheduled for February 10-14, 2025, in Abuja, themed, “The Rebirth of a Great Nation: Nigeria is Great.”

He said: “We have been teaching and educating our nation on what we can do in the various states to bring the children out to the world. The theme of the conference is the ‘Rebirth of a Great Nation.’

“Nigeria is great. Nigeria is going through travail now. But we know it is like the travail of a mother in labour, about to be delivered of a man child. And Nigeria is going to deliver a man child.”
