Buhari appoints Adeniran as surveyor general
President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Surveyor Taiwo Samuel Adeniran as the Surveyor General of the Federation (SGOF) with effect from January 10.
The appointment is for a term of four years in the first instance.Adeniran, until his appointment, was overseeing the affairs of Office of the Surveyor General of the Federation (OSGOF) following the retirement of Surveyor Muhammadu Kurfi, the then Director of Photogrammetry and Remote-Sensing.His appointment was conveyed in a letter dated January 29, 2020, signed by the Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola.
The new SGOF was Director, International Boundary and has served in different Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of the government, manning offices and units responsible for surveying activities.He has written several award-winning papers such as “Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Using Geospatial Data”.
