Achievax base schools hold 18th Graduation

No fewer than 30 pupils across the various arms of Achievax Base Schools, Alakuko, Lagos have passed out of the schools. At the 18th graduation of the schools recently, the remaining pupils entertained guests with choreography, spelling bee, cultural dance and fashion parade, among others.

The schools’ Proprietor, Ayodeji Omotola, said he was overwhelmed with joy for the outgoing pupils, who had successfully completed their six-year sojourn in the school.

Specifically, he thanked their parents for being their ‘’the unwavering backbone of their success’’ ‘’You have sacrificed time, resources and comfort. You encouraged your children when the path was tough; consoled them and celebrated their triumphs,’’ he added.

He advised the graduates to be of good behaviour and ambassadors of their alma mater. ‘’As you step out of these gates and into the wider world, remember the values that have been inculcated in you which are integrity, resilience and excellence. Life will offer both opportunities and challenges but I am confident that you have been adequately equipped not just with knowledge but with wisdom.

“Do not fear, let it be a teacher. Do not rest on your achievement but let them be stepping stones. And above all, never forget where you came from because your roots will keep you grounded as you reach for the stars. Each of you has unique potential and your achievement will be so immeasurable,’’ Omotola added.

Head of Economics of the Department of Economics, Lagos State University (LASU), Prof Olarenwaju Ogunlana, displayed his musical skills when he asked the pupils to singa song he coined: ‘’Achievax Base Schools is stronger and stronger….’’  to the admiration of all. He received applause for his effort.

The Senior Prefect, Joseph Omotola, along with his female counterpart, Olamide Coker, also praised their parents and teachers for their ‘’painstaking efforts’’ towards them during their stay. They urged their colleagues ‘’to step into the world with courage’’ and to their junior ones, they charged: ‘’Be bold and kind’’. While bidding the institution goodbye, they said: ‘’May the institution continue to flourish’’.

Among guests at the ceremony was the LASU team; Dr. Atoyebi Kehinde, Dr Abari Titilayo and Mr Dotun Kabir. The chairperson was Mrs Elizabeth Aroyedade Oriyomi.
