Bago gifts 300 SR to each Niger pilgrim, seeks prayers for flood victims

Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has visited Niger State pilgrims at Muna Camp in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

The visit, an annual tradition, demonstrates the Governor’s care and concern for the well-being of his citizens performing the pilgrimage in the holy land.

During his visit, Governor Bago interacted with the pilgrims, commending them for their good conduct and discipline.

He also praised the efforts of the State Amirul Hajj, the Executive Secretary of the Pilgrims Board, and other officials for ensuring a smooth and seamless Hajj experience for Niger State pilgrims.

The Governor announced a cash gift of SR300 for each of the 3,026 Niger State pilgrims.

He disclosed that the pilgrims’ return journey is scheduled to begin on June 15, 2025, and urged them to continue praying for the people of Niger State, especially for the victims of the recent devastating flood disaster in Mokwa.

Bago assured that measures are already being implemented to assist the flood victims and prevent future occurrences.
