AKWAKUMA autonomous community in Owerri North Local Council of Imo State, a suburb community of Owerri Metropolis, has installed Eze Charles Osuji, as the new monarch of the community.

 The event, which took place at the popular ground in the area, witnessed in attendance, personalities both within and outside the area, with various cultural displays, indicating the acceptance of the new Eze by the people of the community.

 The Imo state government had given the staff of office to the monarch.

  In his response, Osuji, promised to contribute his best to ensure that the community is well governed according to the relevant laws on autonomous communities in the state, urging his subjects to give him the cooperation required.

 Earlier, the chairman of the Coronation Committee and immediate past member of the Imo State House of Assembly, who represented the area, Nze Ray Emeagha, said the committee took its time to organise an acceptable enthronement, adding that Osuji was a man acceptable to the community.
