The Chairman of Jalingo Local Government Council and Chairman of ALGON in Taraba State, Dr. Aminu Jauro Hassan, has called on residents of Jalingo to renew their commitment to love, unity, and peaceful coexistence.
Delivering his Easter message on Monday in Jalingo, Dr. Hassan highlighted the significance of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ, describing the season as a time for reflection, forgiveness, and compassion.
“Easter teaches us the importance of unity and service to humanity,” he stated. “These are the very virtues needed to build a peaceful and harmonious society.”
Hassan described Easter as a profound reminder of sacrifice, love, and redemption, urging the Christian faithful to embrace values such as humility and selflessness.
He emphasised that the message of Easter extends beyond religion and should inspire collective efforts towards building a stronger and more united community.
He also called for continued prayers for the peace, progress, and prosperity of Jalingo Local Government, Taraba State, and Nigeria.
