Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the payment of five months’ outstanding salary arrears for state workers.
The announcement was made via a tweet on Thursday from the official X handle of the state government.
The state government also revealed that this payment would be made alongside the timely disbursement of the April 2025 salary.
According to the state government, the payment, which aligns with the ₦70,000 minimum wage, was made ahead of the Easter celebrations.
“Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the payment of five months’ outstanding salary arrears, alongside the prompt payment of the April 2025 salary. The payment, in line with the ₦70,000 minimum wage, was made ahead of the Easter celebrations,” the tweet stated.
