The Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Edo State Branch, on Sunday hailed Governor Monday Okpebholo for his appointment of Dr. Loretta Ogboro Okor as the Director General, Edo State Diaspora Agency.
This is contained in a statement signed by Dr. Eustace Oseghale and Dr. Iluobe Inegbenosun, Chairman and Secretary, respectively, NMA Edo State.
The statement read, “We appreciate Governor Monday Okpebholo for his gesture to the medical profession by appointing one of our own.”
The medical professionals also felicitated with Dr. Loretta Ogboro on her appointment, saying, “We extend our warmest congratulations on your appointment as Director General.
“This prestigious role is a testament to your exceptional leadership, dedication, and commitment to community development.
“Your experience and passion will undoubtedly drive positive change, benefiting both the medical community and Edo State.
“We’re confident that under your guidance, the agency will thrive, harnessing diaspora potential for the state’s betterment. We encourage skill and resource transfer from our diaspora medical community to Edo State. We’re eager to partner with you to enhance healthcare in our state.”
The Nigeria Medical Association, Edo State Branch, also felicitated with the Chairman, Association of Nigerian Medical Practitioners, Edo State Branch, Dr. Godfrey Imuetiyan, and Dr. Andrew Eigbedion, Medical Director, Eseohe Medical Centre, Ekpoma, on their conferment of the Distinguished Medical Practitioner (DMP) Award from the Association of Nigerian Medical Practitioners (ANMP).
