Man flees after stabbing teenage son to death in Yobe

A man identified as Danga Shiru Wanzam reportedly stabbed his 17-year-old son, Abdulra’uf Abdullahi, with a knife in the chest over a dispute in Chirokusko Village, Tarmuwa Local Government Area of Yobe State.

A security analyst, Zagazola Makama, disclosed the details of the incident in a post on Wednesday.

“A 17-year-old boy, Abdulra’uf Abdullahi, was allegedly stabbed to death by his father during a domestic dispute in Chirokusko Village, Tarmuwa Local Government Area of Yobe State.

“Zagazola Makama gathered from sources that the tragic incident occurred at about 10:00 p.m. on Monday, June 9, when the father, identified as Danga Shiru Wanzam, reportedly attacked the teenager with a knife, stabbing him in the chest over an issue that has yet to be determined,” the post read.

The security analyst added that police operatives visited the scene of the incident and took the 17-year-old to the hospital, where he was certified dead on arrival.

Makama added that residents of the community expressed shock over the death of the teenager, describing him as a quiet and respectful youth.

His father however fled the area after the incident and police operatives are on his trail.
