The organisers of the OyoKopa Business and Career Conference have confirmed the second edition of their flagship event, set to take place from Wednesday, 19 June to Thursday, 20 June 2025, at the International Conference Centre, Ibadan.
The conference is poised to attract thousands of young professionals, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders for two days of learning, networking, and growth, while opening new partnership and sponsorship opportunities for forward-thinking brands.
Following the resounding success of its inaugural edition in 2023, which drew over 6,000 attendees and featured major brands, OKBCC 2.0 aims to be even bigger.
Organisers project an attendance of over 10,000 Corps members, entrepreneurs, recruiters, and thought leaders from across Nigeria.
The conference is being convened by Ojelola John, Organising Lead; Joseph titiloye, Partnership Lead; and Chineke Justus, communication and Marketing Lead, in partnership with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), with the aim of equipping Nigeria’s next generation of professionals with practical skills, mentorship, and funding opportunities.
OKBCC 2.0 will feature a packed schedule of interactive workshops in technology, business development, Web3, and the creative industries.
The conference will also host pitch competitions, career development sessions, and networking opportunities with both local and international partners.
A strong focus will be placed on enabling access to startup funding, internship placements, and digital skill-building for Corps members.
This year’s edition will host a diverse lineup of visionary speakers and facilitators, including Senator Ihenyen, lead partner at Infusion Lawyers; Davizoe Effiong, founder of BEI Consultancy Limited and SmartGames; Jude Ozinegbe, founder of Cyberchain; Eseoghene Benjamin Osbourne, CEO of Roqqu; Richard Afolabi, co-founder of BekkahAI; Ronke Giwa, a seasoned communications and media professional; Chimezie Chuta, founder and coordinator of the Blockchain Nigeria User Group; and Miss Wasilat Adefemi Adegoke, Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports.
Speaking on the vision for this year’s edition, Ojelola John said: “OKBCC is more than just a conference, it is a launchpad for thousands of young Nigerians looking to build careers and businesses that matter.
“Our goal is to help them bridge the gap between ambition and opportunity, by connecting them with knowledge, networks, and resources that can power their future.”
The 2023 edition of the conference led to over 15,000 mobile app downloads through brand activations and awarded ₦1 million in business grants, alongside ₦150 million worth of scholarships to 1,000 beneficiaries.
Since then, the OyoKopa network has expanded its reach through regional meetups across the country, establishing itself as a national movement for youth empowerment.
