Honourable Shina Peller has extolled Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, on his 68th birthday, describing him as a distinguished Nigerian whose influence extends well beyond financial success.
In a goodwill message shared via Instagram, Peller praised Dangote’s commitment to national development, characterising him as a model of leadership, resilience, and unwavering patriotism.
“Dangote represents more than just wealth,” said the former lawmaker. “He stands as a beacon of excellence, a man whose belief in uplifting Nigeria and its people is truly admirable.”
Peller further noted that Dangote’s expansion across various sectors reflects a relentless pursuit of excellence, one that continues to inspire aspiring entrepreneurs across Nigeria and the African continent.
Among the industrialist’s most notable achievements, Peller highlighted the Dangote Refinery, which he described as a transformative milestone in Nigeria’s economic journey. He said the refinery holds the potential to reduce the nation’s dependency on imported petroleum products, drive economic growth, generate employment, and position Nigeria more competitively on the global stage.
“The refinery is not just a project; it is a symbol of hope for self-sufficiency and a stronger economy,” he stated.
Concluding his message, Peller offered heartfelt prayers for Dangote’s continued protection, particularly against individuals he described as selfish or working against Nigeria’s progress.

“May God shield you from those whose personal interests threaten the advancement of our great nation,” he wrote.
The tribute joins a chorus of commendations marking the business magnate’s birthday, as Nigerians reflect on his enduring contributions to national development.
