SIXTEEN ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods have arrived Lagos ports, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said on Friday in Lagos.

This was contained in NPA’s daily publication – ‘Shipping Position’- made available to newsmen in Lagos.

According to the document, nine of the ships sailed into the ports with food items like rice in bags and frozen fish.

It stated that seven ships had arrived with petrol and diesel.

The document indicated that 43 ships would arrive from Jan. 16 to Feb. 7, in contrast to 49 ships reported on Thursday.

It noted that 23 of the expected ships would arrive with containers, while 10 others would arrive with food items.

The document explained that five ships would sail in with general cargo, while four others would bring in petroleum products.

It stated that a ship would bring in vehicles. (NAN)
