32 ships expected with various products at Lagos ports

THIRTY-TWO ships are expected to arrive at the Lagos ports with various products, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said on Thursday.

The NPA made the disclosure in its daily publication, the ‘Shipping Position,’ in Lagos.

It said that the ships would be expected from Jan. 22 to Feb. 7.

According to the NPA, 15 of the expected ships will sail in with containers, while nine others are expected with food products.

The food products include rice in bags, crude palm oil, frozen fish and soya beans, the publication said.

General cargo will arrive in five ships, while the remaining three ships will bring in kerosene and petrol, it added.

Meanwhile, the NPA said 14 ships have arrived at the ports with food, petroleum products and general cargo.

The breakdown showed that six of the ships arrived at the ports with rice, crude palm oil and general cargo, while the remaining eight ships sailed in with petroleum products.(NAN)
