THE All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode has promised to build on the achievements of the present administration in the state.

Addressing supporters in Surulere, Ambode said having served the state in various positions for 27 years, he knows the challenges of Lagosians and can provide the much-needed solutions to them.

The campaign, which was attended by leaders of the party in the state, took another turn when some youths who are alleged PDP supporters joined the rally at Alaka bus-stop chanting “change” which is the campaign slogan of the APC.

The youths expressed confidence in the ability of the APC candidate.

Also, members of the Eko Club have backed the candidacy of Ambode.

The eminent Lagos-based club expressed this today at an event tagged “Eko Club Interactive Session With Governorship Candidates in Lagos State”, held at the club’s premises.

President of the club, Mr. Babatunde Grillo, stated that the APC governorship hopeful earned their support based on what he described has “his tested and trusted servitude, leadership acumen and an unmatched experience in matters of good governance.”

The Chairman of the interactive session, Chief Murphy Adetoro, reiterated the club’s stance while giving reference to his competence and landmark achievements in the Lagos civil service.

Meanwhile, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Sunbo Onitiri has assured Lagos residents of the dividends of democracy if they elect the party’s candidate, Jimi Agbaje as next governor.

Onitiri, who is a member of the political group – Eko Initiatives described Agbaje as the most credible, competent, trusted and reliable among the candidates.

“We need to end slavery, oppression and dominance of one party in Lagos State. Agbaje was born and bred in Lagos, so he knows the pains of Lagosians.”

He further stated that Agbaje has been widely accepted by Lagosians following his recent endorsement by 12 political parties in the state.
