AHEAD of All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Gen. Muhammadu Buhari’s campaign visit to Bauchi State, some groups, under the auspices of Coalition of Bauchi State All Progressives Congress support groups, have appealed to the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party and APC’s presidential candidate to be fair to defeated aspirants in the last primary election and not to raise the hand of anyone as state governorship candidate.

Spokesmen of the groups, Ibrahim Bello and Salisu Yerima, who stated this when they led hundreds of their supporters yesterday to a press conference in Bauchi, alleged that “as a result of irregularities and negligence of the APC state executives to comply with the guidelines of the party’s primaries, the election was not free and fair.”

According them, the presidential candidate should do so until after they listen and settle all issues and series of petitions and complaints against the conduct of the governorship primary elections held in the state in the best interest of justice, fairness and harmony.

While Bello said part of the irregularities was the inability of the electoral committee to provide the aspirants with the list of eligible delegates, and its inability to allow all the delegates to come to the election venue with their membership card for identification, Yerima said since when the disputed result was announced, there was serious political turmoil and unless NWC investigates and ensures justice and fairness, the APC will lose Bauchi in 2015.
