NIGERIANS have been urged to approach next month’s general election with open mind, by eschewing violence and acts of bitterness that may scuttle efforts to vote in credible leaders.

The President of Lagos Mainland Conference of Seventh Day Adventist Church, Ogba, Lagos, Pastor Emmanuel Adeniyi, gave the admonition during the nauguration of Ajasa District of the church, which was carved out from its Ojokoro District in Lagos.

The cleric said Nigerians should have faith in God and vote for credible leaders, who have fear of God and absolute respect for the rule of law, adding that politicians should not see the election as a do or die affair.

Speaking at the occasion, the treasurer of Lagos Mainland Conference of  the church, Elder Adeyemi Adedokun said there could never be peace without justice.

He called on Nigerians to ensure that 2015 election is free and fair.

According to him, the moment this happens, God will take the nation to greater heights.
