OFFICIALS of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in Lokoja, Kogi State, have been accused of shortchanging prospective candidates ‎with the introduction of an extra N700 charge to the stipulated fee for the purchase of forms.

Following this, the aggrieved candidates, who thronged the JAMB office in Lokoja on Tuesday, vented their frustration on the officials, who they engaged in a free for all until they brought ‎down the entrance gate.

One of the candidates told The Guardian on condition of anonymity: “Ordinarily, we can do the registration online on any Internet-based platform, but because they wanted to extort that N700 from each of the candidates, they gave the order (to the contrary).
