GOVERNORSHIP Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, Simeon Ajibola, has promised to promote “true free education” from primary to secondary levels, if voted into power in the next governorship election come  February.

Ajibola, who spoke  at the flag off of his campaigns at Bode-Sadu headquarters of Moro Local Government Area (LGA) in Kwara, said “proper formal education” should be the inclusive right of all the citizens of the state, “irrespective of their economic status.”

The event, which was attended by tumultuous crowd, was used as an avenue to publicly reconcile many of the governorship aspirants, who had lost to Ajibola, as they embraced themselves before their supporters, promising full support for both President Goodluck Jonathan and Ajibola.

Ajibola, while unfolding some of his programmes, said he would establish a general hospital in each of the 16 LGAs of the state, adding “we will not build hospitals without employing competent doctors and other health workers. There will also be affordable diagnostic centre in each of the hospitals.”

For the PDP candidate, his government would decentralise commercial farming by cultivating the vast arable land in the state, empowering the local farmers and thus turning agriculture enviable business in the state.
