‘My PDP successor will sustain youth empowerment scheme’ says Orji

RESIDENTS of Abia state have been assured  that the government’s empowerment and poverty alleviation programmes will be sustained provided  the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) governorship candidate is elected governor in the rescheduled elections.

 This was disclosed by the state governor Chief Theodore Orji yesterday when he distributed   30   Empowerment Vehicles to Ikwuano Youths  and one Bus to the Aba State University Chapter of the National Association of Nigerian Students ( NANS) at the Ikwuano Local Council headquarters .

 He said the vehicles  and the other items and equipment which have been provided for youths and women are to enable them set up viable ventures and become self employed.

 The governor who noted  that the programme  has been enhancing the status of the beneficiaries in the state and thus encouraged the government to continue with it , counseled the people to vote  for the PDP to ensure its sustenance after he serves out his two terms on May 29, 2015.

 He said :” Let me here assure you Abians that if  the PDP governorship candidate, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu   is elected ,he will continue the empowerment programme when he comes on board on May 29, 2015.
