THE Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for House of Representatives in Lamurde, Numan /Demsa Federal constituency in Adamawa State, Mr. Michael Zidon, has told the All Progressives Congress (APC) that no amount of sentiments can give her victory in the forthcoming general elections.

Zidon, who is representing Lamurde Adamawa State House of Assembly, told The Guardian Friday in Yola that APC and other political parties were not only using campaign of calumny against PDP, but were basing their campaigns on sentiments, using religion as their tool to woo votes.

“There is no party in Nigeria today that can use religion as a tool to win votes. Our country is operating not base on religion, but base on what Nigerians believes can bring justice, development and harmony in the country”, he stated.

The lawmaker who is in his second term in the state assembly, pointed out that PDP has no fears of winning the 2015 poll because of the candidates the party is parading for the elections, pointing out that the President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration performance has sealed the hope of the opposition parties, come 2015 general elections.

“Our party has little or no campaign to do again, because the projects of the president throughout the country are the major campaign materials that Nigerians will be convinced to vote PDP again to continue with the good work for the development of Nigeria”, he said.
