THE  Resident Electoral Commissioner for Plateau State, Dr. Godwin Kwanga, has said that permanent voters’ cards (PVCs) are sufficient enough to meet the demand of those who are yet to secure theirs.

Kwanga informed that the PVCs are being sorted out according to the local government areas, electoral wards and units. His response came in the wake of complaints of inability of most people to secure their PVCs in the state. The new delivery is to cover 11 local governments for now, while that of the remaining six will come by Sunday (today).

The INEC boss in the state, who spoke through the image maker of the commission, Mr. Osaretin Imahiereobo, said that the distribution proper commenced on Thursday throughout the state, adding that electoral officers have been directed to assign staff to all collection centres beginning from that day.

He disclosed that so far the commission has distributed about 1.2 million PVCs across the state, hoping to use the extended period of time to issue out the remaining PVCs.

He called on the people not to panic about not securing their PVCs, as all those, who participated in all the registrations, will access their cards with the exception of 35,000 people, who committed multiple registrations in the state.
