GOVERNOR Kashim Shettima of Borno state yesterday called on eligible voters in the state to come out en-masse and collect their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the 2015 general elections in the state.

  The governor made the call yesterday after collecting his PVC at the Maisandari ward of Government House, Maiduguri, the state capital.

  His words: “All eligible voters should collect their permanent voters’ cards as this is the only means through which the people could elect credible leaders. The card of an electorate is significant in next month’s general elections.

  “Before the distribution of PVCs ends, all those who have temporary voter’s cards should obtain theirs and those who have not should equally register, without any hesitation or doubts.”

  Speaking in the same vain, Senator Ahmad Zannah, who paid a sympathy visit to traders of Maiduguri Monday Market (MMM), also called on electorate in the state to ensure they collect their voters cards before INEC closes the registration and distribution exercises.
