Apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has commended the Federal Government for the rehabilitation of the Enugu-Port Harcourt highway, just as it expressed satisfaction over the quality of work on the road.

In a statement yesterday, its Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Chuks Ibegbu, however, urged a speedy completion of the Enugu International Airport and Second Niger Bridge in Onitsha.

Ibegbu stated that Enugu Airport should have been completed in December 2019 or January this year if government was keen on the project, especially as it affects travelers and businessmen using the airport.

He, however, queried failure to commence work on the Port Harcourt-Maiduguri rail line when the West-North line had gone on rapidly.

“I wonder what Rotimi Amaechi is doing about his own region in rail reconstruction,” he said.
