WORRIED by the depletion of the rank of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a top member of the party in Delta State, Olorogun John Oguma, has ‎ pleaded with those that decamped to the All Progressives Congress (APC) to stage a comeback.

Three commissioners in the administration of former Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, Chief Paulinus Akpeki, Misan Kubeinje and Ebifa Ijeomah recently quit the party for the APC.

Oguma who spoke with reporters in Ughelli at the weekend‎ reminded the defectors that they had once benefited from the party and should therefore not dump it because it lost election at the federal level.

“I am appealing to all PDP members in Delta State to remain in the party and support the administration of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in its effort to make life much better for all Deltans. Those who are leaving the party today have once benefited from the system and are architects of the problem being faced by the party at the moment,” he urged.

Oguma said that their exit clearly demonstrated that they were men of little faith and fair weather party faithful whose sole interest was not to grow the party but their individual pockets.
