Rep seeks fair primary in Ondo APC

A member of the House of Representatives, Bode Ayorinde, has called on the leadership of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Ondo state to allow free, fair, credible and transparent primary election in choosing the candidate of the party.

Ayorinde, who represents Owo/Ose Federal Constituency, said that will be the only solution to peaceful cohesion among the aspirants of the party for the coming gubernatorial election in the state.

The lawmaker, during a press conference on his governorship ambition, noted that the free, fair and credible primary election would make the work of the party’s candidate easier.

Ayorinde who said the greatest concern in the State today is the level of poverty amongst the people, noted that the State has raked in a huge sum of money without anything tangible to show for the money.

According to him: “When a party primary is not only free, fair, credible and transparent but sees by all to be so, it makes the work of the party’s candidates easier as any aspirant who have genuine interest of the party at heart would have no option than to cooperate and work with the party’s candidate having convinced himself and seen that the primary was openly won and lost. The greatest concern in the Ondo state today is the level of poverty amongst our people, regardless of the enormous resources with which we are endowed.
