The Royal Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Nigeria has conveyed heartfelt condolences to the Federal Government and the people of Nigeria over the devastating tanker explosion in Jigawa State.
About 181 people have so far lost their lives, and several others sustained burns in the tragic incident.
In an official statement from Faisal Ibraheem Alghamdi, Ambassador of the Kingdom in Abuja, the Embassy expressed sympathy for the victims and extended its deepest condolences to the bereaved families.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the Nigerian people during this difficult time, and we stand in solidarity with the affected families,” the statement read.
The explosion, which resulted in significant casualties and injuries, has drawn widespread attention from both local and international bodies.
The Saudi Embassy also wished the injured a swift recovery and assured continued support for Nigeria during this period of grief.
The embassy reaffirmed its commitment to providing any necessary assistance and cooperation in response to the tragedy, offering words of comfort to the mourning nation.
