Shell awards scholarship to 60 indigent pupils
NO fewer than 60 pupils from public primary schools in the six states of the South South have been offered scholarship to study at secondary school level by Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC).
The beneficiaries are to be admitted into four top private boarding secondary schools in Port Harcourt, Rivers State under its Cradle to Career (C 2 C) scholarship scheme.
SPDC’s Managing Director, Okunbor Osagie, said the programme was meant to support brilliant students from poor background, especially those in public schools in villages to experience a better learning environment in the city.
