Shettima, Fashola, others to grace NASFAT’s 30th anniversary lecture in Lagos

The Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT), a prominent global Islamic organisation renowned for its visionary leadership and commitment to spiritual growth, will mark its 30th anniversary with a high-profile lecture on May 3, 2025, at the Main Auditorium of the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research in Yaba, Lagos. The Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, will be the Special Guest of Honour. Keynote address will be delivered by the former Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN). Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, will serve as the chief host, and Ogun State Deputy Governor, Noimot Salako-Oyedele, as co-host. It will be presided over by a legal luminary, Dr. Wale Babalakin, (SAN).

NASFAT President, Alhaji Ayodeji AbdulWahid AbdulRauf affirmed the society’s role as a “pace-setting global Islamic society, delivering innovative dawah, crafted to meet the spiritual needs of present and future generations, thereby securing a legacy of enlightenment and progres.”

The planning committee, under the leadership of Alhaji Isiak Kayode Oshinuga, a past Governor of Lions Club District 404B2 Nigeria, has diligently worked to ensure a successful and memorable celebration.

NASFAT’s Chief Missioner, Imam Maroofdeen AbdulAzeez Onike, highlighted the society’s inclusive nature, stating that its spiritual activities, spanning over 360 locations globally, “embrace all people irrespective of their background, creating a truly global Islamic movement.”
