Ultimate Health HMO, in collaboration with the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), provided free health screenings and counseling to train passengers on April 7, 2025, to mark World Health Day.
The exercise took place on the Abuja-Kaduna, Lagos-Ibadan, and Warri-Itakpe train routes, as well as at major train stations. Medical professionals from Ultimate Health HMO conducted basic health checks, including blood pressure, body mass index (BMI), and blood sugar screenings. Passengers also received on-the-spot health counseling and tips on healthy living.
“We believe that health is a right, not a privilege,” said Otunba Ewenla, MD/CEO of Ultimate Health HMO. “Through our collaboration with the Nigerian Railway Corporation, we were able to reach a large number of individuals, especially those who may not have regular access to healthcare services.”
Passengers were advised on making informed lifestyle choices such as healthy eating, physical activity, and stress management.
Ultimate Health HMO describes the initiative as part of its broader focus on preventive healthcare and health education in Nigeria.
