Umahi urges Christians to reflect on essence of Easter

The Minister of Works, David Umahi, has called on Christians to reflect on the essence of the Easter festival, which centres on the victory of life over death, light over darkness, and the triumph of God’s love for humanity.

Umahi, in a statement in Abuja, urged them to dig deeper within the faith, re-examine their lives, renew their hope and love for the nation, engage cordially with one another, and promote peace and unity within the communities, families, and friendships.

According to the Works Minister, Easter commemorates the crucifixion, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

“This celebration inspires reflection on the symbol of Easter, which is hope, renewal, and a new life in Christ,” he said.

“Let’s continue to pray for the manifestation of God’s plans for the nation in the noble agenda of the Renewed Hope administration of President Bola Tinubu, whom God has used to advance the cause of unity, peace, and prosperity of our nation.

“As we celebrate this festival of Easter, we wish the global community of all believers and indeed the land of Nigeria the peace of God which passes all understanding.

“Congratulations on this Easter commemoration, and please accept always the assurances of the esteemed regards and best wishes of my family, the management, and staff of the Federal Ministry of Works.”
