USPF launches Impact Alliance to accelerate digital inclusion

The Universal Service Provision Fund (USPF), established by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), is set to launch the USPF Impact Alliance, aimed to accelerate the delivery of inclusive communication technologies to underserved and unserved communities across Nigeria.

Since 2007, the USPF has invested in digital infrastructure, funding over 2,500 education projects nationwide. These investments have provided over 100,000 computers and bespoke connectivity solutions, transformed communities and improved school enrollment, enabled computer-based testing in remote areas, empowered teachers, schools, and communities and galvanised inclusive learning.

The USPF Impact Alliance seeks to partner with private sector stakeholders at the intersection of digital technology and education. Through co-creation sessions, these partners will explore opportunities to collaborate with the USPF, expanding and sustaining the impact of its educational projects.

According to the Honourable Minister, Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani, the USPF Impact Alliance is a necessary input to ensure inclusivity as Nigeria strives to scale and accelerate digital access. The success of this collaboration will set a template for universal service funds worldwide.

The USPF Impact Alliance aims to lead innovation for universal service and access funds worldwide, ensure optimal delivery of digital infrastructure, increase the sustainability of the Federal Government’s investment in digital infrastructure and accelerate digital inclusion.

The launch of the USPF Impact Alliance will take place on Monday, 26th May 2025, in Lagos State
