Why I created data-driven enterprise model – Olaitan Ojo

Nigerian analyst Olaitan Moses Ojo has stated that a truly significant innovation is one that not only solves a problem but also creates a new ecosystem of value around it.

He noted that this made him develop a Data-Driven Enterprise (DDE) Model, an economic framework, which is now proving to be such an innovation.

Ojo revealed that what began as a highly successful public sector pilot is now demonstrating a rare dual-track success, achieving widespread government adoption and making a successful leap into the private commercial market.

He said: “Following the model’s well-documented success in Alimosho and Ado-Ekiti, where it generated an average 28% revenue growth for SMEs, it has become the gold standard for evidence-based economic support in Lagos State. We can confirm that both the Ikeja and Agege Local Governments have now formally commenced the process of implementing the DDE Model, following the directive from the Lagos State Ministry of Commerce. This completes the adoption of the framework across all initially interested local governments, cementing its status as a replicable and highly sought-after public policy tool.

“However, the model’s journey has not stopped at the gates of government secretariats. In a move that signals its profound commercial significance, it has been announced that Innovate Advisory Partners, one of Nigeria’s leading management consulting firms, has signed a landmark licensing agreement to offer the DDE Model as part of its SME consulting portfolio.

“This is a pivotal development. For a homegrown intellectual property to be licensed by a major private consultancy is a powerful validation of its market value and commercial viability. It demonstrates that the DDE Model is not merely an effective tool for social good but also a robust, scalable, and profitable business solution. This transition from a government-endorsed framework to a commercially licensed product is the ultimate proof of its significance to the field as a whole.”

Ojo added that the dual success of the DDE Model, becoming a standard for public administration while also commanding value in the private sector, is a testament to the originality and impact of his work.

He noted that it serves as a powerful example of how Nigerian innovation can create scalable solutions that drive both public progress and commercial success.

“This is the kind of blueprint Nigeria needs to build a resilient and prosperous economic future,” he concluded.
