THE North-East Youths Coalition for Good Governance has applauded the effort of President Muhammadu Buhari on anti-corruption crusade and renewed vigour in the fight against the insurgency in the zone.

The co-ordinator of the association, Mr. Yakuba Sarma, who gave the commendation in an interview in Gombe, said the present administration had really tried in the fight against insurgency in North-East zone and other security challenges in the country.

He also called on the President to be wary of some overzealous associates, party members and cabal wishing to gain cheap popularity.

According to him: “We agitate for blocking of leakages that lead to corrupt practices and building more strong institutions that would stand the test of time.”

The association also appealed to the President to empower TETFUND, adding that the association had been following the programmes of the agency since its creation to date.

The group also congratulated Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Yakubu Dogara and all the North-East zone indigenes who had been elected or appointed by President Buhari.
