Sir: Truck pushers are no doubt one of the greatest risks on our roads today. It is now common sights to see them on the roads with reckless abandon, especially Lekki-Epe expressway and particularly between Ajah and Sangotedo axis.

Amazingly or surprisingly though is the fact that they carry out their trade unhindered where the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) has their office and where their officials are always stationed on the express at Olokonla, close to Sangotedo.  The truck pushers do not get off the road and don’t give a damn if any motorist should run into them thereby resulting in an accident.

The FRSC, whose responsibility it is to ensure road safety for all, should take action by clearing these truck pushers off the expressway, instead of stopping and unduly harassing motorists.  This is therefore calling on the top hierarchy of FRSC to call their Sangotedo Command to order by not abandoning this obvious responsibility of theirs so as to make the road safe for all.
