National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ralphs Okey Nwosu, has unveiled the party’s Youth-Driven Vision, aimed at securing no fewer than 35 million votes at the 2027 poll.
Nwosu said the ambition, which he believes will be realised, is intended to redefine Nigeria’s political system and set the country on the right social and economic path.
Highlighting the party’s roadmap to the 2027 elections, Nwosu disclosed ADC’s bold commitment to mobilising 35 million voters nationwide.
According to him, “We want to use the ADC handshake to rescue the country and put it on the right trajectory.”
He decried the current socio-economic challenges and emphasised the urgent need for transformative leadership, which, according to him, the ADC is set to provide from 2027.
His words: “We have come too low; now, we must go up. Those who have laboured to sustain the party will not be left behind. Those of you who have sacrificed to get us where we are will not be put to shame; you will not regret it
With the ADC handshake, the party’s enduring symbol of unity and progress, as a rallying point, he emphasised that the time to act is now.
“In a land of plenty, all that is offered is breath. What about food and jobs? Enough is enough,” he added.
The summit underscored the pivotal role of young Nigerians in shaping the nation’s future.
Nwosu proudly revealed that the party’s national youth team has pledged to deliver 30 million votes, signalling a robust youth movement determined to reshape the political landscape.
“The best things that have ever happened to this country have come through the young people. This time, we are going into the field,” the chairman asserted.
He announced that the party’s grassroots activation would begin in Kogi State, describing it as “ready” and strategic in the ADC’s mobilisation campaign.
Beyond the youth, Nwosu also stressed that older Nigerians would not be left behind.
He said the ADC aims to unite, not divide, and to invite every citizen into a collective vision for national transformation.
“ADC is not waiting for the future to happen. It is building it now – and doing so with intention, strategy, and inclusion”.
“For the first time, we will deliver a president who will win clearly and be welcomed with a warm handshake. The 2027 elections may still be two years away, but the ADC has already begun its journey, not just to win ballots, but to win back the trust of the Nigerian people,” Nwosu added.
