Enugu APC to maintain zoning arrangement for October 2 state congress

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State said, yesterday, that it would maintain its zoning arrangement in the October 2 state congress of the party.

Speaking to journalists in Enugu, following their Zoom meeting, State Publicity Secretary, Mrs. Kate Ofor, clarified that the position they took in June after the Senator Jonathan Zwingina-led Registration and Revalidation Panel sat would apply to the congress.

“We, hereby, clarify that all party offices zoned to the East Senatorial District are now zoned to West Senatorial District; all party offices zoned to the West are now zoned to the North Senatorial District; and all those zoned to North are now zoned to East Senatorial District.” she said.

In 2014, the party had zoned its offices thus, Enugu North: Legal Adviser, Financial Secretary, Secretary, Youth Leader, Assistant Publicity Secretary, Assistant Auditor, Assistant Organising Secretary, Ex Officio, Ex Officio and Gubernatorial Candidate.

Enugu East: Chairman, Assistant Women Leader, Assistant Treasurer, Welfare Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Ex Officio, Organising Secretary and Assistant Youth Leader.

Enugu West: Deputy Chairman, Treasurer, Publicity Secretary, Auditor, Assistant Welfare Secretary, Special Leader, Ex Officio, Assistant Legal Adviser, Ex Officio, Woman Leader, National Vice Chairman, Zonal Organising Secretary and Deputy Gubernatorial Candidate.
