Murphy Ben International (MBI), a leader in Africa’s media and entertainment industry, has announced its participation at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) from September 5 to 15, 2024.
TIFF, the world’s second most prestigious film festival, serves as a platform for MBI to build international collaboration, explore content development opportunities, and acquire high-quality films for the Nigerian market.
Led by the Chief Executive Officer of Murphy Ben International (MBI) Murphy Anawana, the executives in attendance are the General Manager of MBI’s Canada office – Babajide, Emmanuel Anuga, Roland, Elochukwu, and the Head of Branding and Marketing Communications, Mark Redguard. MBI’s primary goal at TIFF is to create partnerships that will strengthen the Nigerian film ecosystem, with a focus on content acquisition, development, and dubbing services to introduce African stories to the world in multiple languages.
“Attending TIFF offers us the unique opportunity to engage with global content creators and industry leaders. We are committed to expanding Nigerian cinema by creating and maintaining partnerships that will bring fresh content and collaboration to Africa,” said Murphy Anawana.

To further demonstrate their commitment to the industry, MBI will also be attending the Nigerian International Film and TV Summit in London on October 11 and 12, 2024. Additionally, MBI will participate in Canex 2024 in Algeria from October 16 to 19, an event that brings together Africa’s global creative and cultural industries. Another team comprising of video editors – Seyi Adesanya and Olakunle Kazeem are attending the International Broadcasting Convention in Amsterdam.
MBI’s attendance at TIFF and other international conventions is a step further in its commitment to producing and promoting African content to the world.
